The poem is written in common hymn meter (alternating lines of 8 and 6 syllables, usually iambs), so there are many possible tunes you can use to sing it:
By far the funniest transition timelines are the ones from trans men where the “before” picture is some teeny little guy with sad baby seal eyes and the “after” picture looks like Kratos
This is one of the top posts in r/transtimelines and it really sums up what I’m talking about
My irl saw this post and sent me this even crazier transformation today! The little guy to Kratos pipeline is real!!!
3000 year old petroglyph of a man running away from a big snake. With erection. It is one of the many Rock carvings in Tanum, Sweden and was painted red so its easier for tourists to see.
I have a few ideas on how we could make the silent realms even scarier you all wanna hear them
Okay okay so some of these are just harder and not scary, but you all wanted to hear them so:
Brambles or mud or something that Link can get stuck in/slow him down significantly
Adding to that, waking water-like spider webs you can get trapped in and have to break free from
New type of guardian that takes a few extra seconds to wake up, but once it does is like three times faster then normal guardians
Make the guardians either more otherworldly (more eyes, bigger swords, extra limbs, etc), or strangely familiar (…why do you think of Zelda when you look at that one?)
All dark silent realm. I’m talking pitch black. Only thing visible is waking water, those fruit things you can get, and light tears… and the eyes of the guardians if you wake them up.
Animation for Link where instead of him just doing his normal idle thing, he shivers a little, and looks over his shoulder
Some more I thought of:
When you walk past an inactive guardian, it’s head slowly turns to follow you
You look away from one and look back, and you swear it’s a few inches closer then it was. You never see them move.
The more times you fail at a silent realm, the more distorted and indistinct Link looks. Eventually you reach a point where you can barely see yourself, and Fi forces you to take a break before trying again. If you refuse and try again anyway and a guardian hits you, it’s an immediate game over. (Link’s spirit is shattered).
Redead-like guardians which are slow, but scream and freeze you in place while they approach to attack you
A silent realm in the sky, where you ride your loftwing (or something like your loftwing anyway) and collect light tears. There are clouds that rain waking water, and some guardian watchers. The biggest catch is that the normal inactive guardians are huge, to a terrifying degree, and Hylia help you if you wake them up.
